Ticketmaster is working with Apple in the US, offering free song downloads to customers buying gig and event tickets.
The online booking service is offering every online ticket buyer access to a ten-song sampler of songs from emerging artists, and will offer a free iTunes download of a customer’s choice in an offer which begins this month.
Starting 28 May and extending to 3 September, summer ticket-buyers will get a free song when they buy a ticket.
Apple and Ticketmaster have collaborated on online tickets in the past, offering music fans a first chance to buy tickets to see Bob Dylan perform if they pre-ordered his Modern Times album, for example.
Ticketmaster also owns the iLike music recommendation service.
