‘The Interview’ is on iTunes now, whoopee

Oh, good. In case you aren’t sick of hearing about The Interview, a dumb movie in which Seth Rogen and James Franco play idiots who assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, it just became available on iTunes. You can rent it for $6 or buy it for $15 in HD or SD.

The Interview was supposed to launch in movie theaters on Christmas Day. But then Sony was hacked, and the alleged hackers threatened violence against movie theaters that would show it, so the movie theaters backed down, and then Sony said it wouldn’t even release the movie. That’s when Obama sighed mightily and said that was a mistake, and then Sony changed its mind and did release the movie after all, to a few movie theaters as well as YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video. (But you can’t watch it on the PlayStation Network for some reason, nor on Sony’s own Crackle, but it might be coming soon if Sony can get its act together.)

People wondered why Apple didn’t immediately get on board–the New York Times said the company “was not interested.” We still don’t know why it wasn’t on iTunes right on Christmas Day, but it’s there now.

The Interview has a 50 percent score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but a 63 percent rating from users. It’s currently the most popular video on YouTube, which is saying something considering it’s up against this baby panda’s big sneeze.

Did you see it? Did you like it? Is this whole story starting to smell more like a marketing hoax than a terrorist plot to anyone else, or just me?

Those enemy desig1 __ The environments and customizability (is that a word? no) of your character looks cool but it doesnt look like a fun enemy to shoot at. They prob went too bland on their desig1 but hopefully they’ll have some interesting AI. As for ‘next gen’, I dont see how this wouldnt run on a x360 by those scree1hots but maybe the world is huge. After Titanfall, I want to go fast all the time. This looks to be there (please dont be this generation’s ‘Brink’).
